The meeting was called to order at 2000 by President Lombardo.
The Secretary's Report was read and accepted as read.
The Treasurer's Report was presented and accepted.
Motions for funds from previous meeting - funding for Brian Cowden's Dec salary discussed at length. Brian's salary is soft and funding ran out due to grants having FY constraints. Idea of precedent being set discussed. Motion made and carried for $2000 to cover the Dec salary of Brian. Request to convey to Brian the need for much more advanced notice, our inability to continuously do this sort of thing in the future was made and Rich will inform him.
Budget Requests - 0
Shows - arrangements for set up made. Somerset 26-28. May be discount tix. Hal has tied 12 dozen flies thus far.
Communications - Manny Luftglass is writing piece on Mission of TU - needs basic info on CJTU. Began in 1971. Ben Fogarty 1st Pres. 560 members. TIC, Pequest Programs, Fly Tying Programs, Fishing w/ Blind, Casting for Recovery, Stream Cleanups, Stocking Programs, Electroshocking, TTS. Bart will provide text and photos.
Web Site - New Fly of the Month site being worked on and is in initial format. Much expansion of the site will occur in the near future.
Increasing Member Participation - Rich discussed a survey program he will distribute to the membership. Rod raffle for card carrying members at the Dec meeting. Point Program will have a presentation next month by John. Tom will look into email accounts on the CJTU web host for email referral purposes.
Programs - Ozzie Dec, Bart & Lou Jan with the Flea Market, Feb Dr. Licandro on global warming.
TIC - Oz has a contact to fix chillers. 3 chillers were fixed for $65!
Point Mountain - Rich Post will be taking over.
Fundraising - Lou will print tix for the raffle. Components being acquired.
Connetquat Trip - Very successful. 15 - 18 for the future.
Election Slate - Bart finalized the slate for the BOD that will be presented at the Dec meeting.
New Business - Fly Tying Program will occur in Jan Feb & March. Tom already has the first batch of participants lined up. Advertisers for MainStream need to be enlisted to ensure the stream of product donations for our monthly raffles. Our current supply of merchandise to be raffled off is depleted. We will try to incorporate banner advertisements in MainStream with links to the advertisers web site.
